What equipment do you need for deep-sea fishing ?
Cane
With a length of about 2 m, a cane of 20 to 50 Lbs allows you to handle it more easily in order to manipulate deep-sea fishing mounts.
Lead
Opt for a lead of 500g to 2kg. The choice of its weight depends on the depth and strength of the currents: remember that your line must remain in an upright position under the boat.
Electric windlass
A reel able to withstand 400 to 500 m of braid is quite adequate.
Stromboscopic lamp
In the darkness of the depths, flashes of light and sound fool the fish that think they are dealing with potential prey: they then come much closer to your line !
Hooks
From 20/0 to 4/0 depending on the fish you are looking for.
What setup to opt for during deep-sea fishing ?
Prefer multi-stack fishing leader lines and end-leaded stackers. Ready-to-use fluorocarbon lines on the market are also good. In any case, the assembly must be strong and must not become tangled during the many trips between the bottom and the surface.
