What are the specificities of spoon fishing?
Spoon fishing is a technique that was very successful in the middle of the 20th century. This fishing technique is practiced in two variants: spoon fishing and undulating spoon fishing. With the first method, the fish is sensitized by a rotating pallet that emits strong vibrations. What equipment should be used to catch trout?
For a good trout fishing with a spoon, a rod 1.8 m long will do it. It should not be too long for more convenience. In addition, it must be lightweight and made of a high quality material such as carbon. This is essential to catch trout, which is a fighting fish. For the reel, it must be light and strong and equipped with a nylon measuring between 14 and 22 hundredths.
Apart from these two pieces of equipment, some accessories are necessary to fish trout with a spoon. You need a spare reel, a disgorger, scissors and a knife. The latter two are essential to carry out the assembly and to remove the jaw from the captured trout.

What type of throwing should be adopted?
There are two types of throws to choose from. There is the light throw which is very practical and effective for catching this fish from the salmonid family. This method consists of baiting the fish with small lures: the fisherman must first move along the river to find shelter for the fish, and this, without making any noise. After finding a station, the spoon must be thrown upstream so that it can travel through the target area. To avoid releasing the prey, do not place it under a hollow bank or branch. This technique is ideal for a 5 m wide river.
The other type of throwing is ultra-light. This technique requires tiny equipment to ensure that fishing is as discreet as possible. To catch trout, the rod must be very flexible. The use of a small 500 size reel is also necessary. As for nylon, it must not exceed 12 hundredths. For the lure, it must be tiny, about 1 gram. With this type of throwing, the fisherman must move slowly along the current to avoid causing noise. To attack, the bait must be launched 8 to 10 meters in front of the fish shelters. It should be noted that the ultra-light throw is perfectly suited for stream fishing.
